01 / Opportunity

The camera roll remembers more than its filenames do.

Screenshots hold addresses, confirmations and ideas. Videos hold spoken details that ordinary photo search cannot surface. YEAR treats selected media as a personal archive whose useful content can be indexed directly on the phone.

The core promise is intentionally concrete: search what you saw or heard, then return to the exact item—or the relevant timestamp inside a video.

02 / Local system

Keep recognition, ranking and storage on the device.

On-device OCR extracts visible text, speech recognition creates timed segments and SQLite stores a compact searchable index. Turkish-aware normalization and ranking connect imperfect queries to useful results.

Because the core system is local, the product does not need an account or search backend. That reduces privacy exposure, recurring infrastructure and the number of failure points between a query and its result.

03 / Product experience

Turn a technical index into a direct retrieval action.

Search results explain why they matched and distinguish visual text from spoken content. A video result carries the timestamp needed to jump into the relevant moment instead of making the user scrub from the beginning.

Indexing limits and commerce are communicated as product states, while private media remains outside a product backend. The experience stays understandable even when recognition is incomplete.

04 / Proof

Verify the native product at more than one layer.

XCTest, Debug and Release builds passed. The app was installed to a connected device, and a local Release archive was created. Store presentation captures were prepared from safe demo media.

Those checks establish a strong engineering and presentation baseline while keeping external distribution and public-release claims separate from local archive evidence.
